WHEN RAIN CATCHES FIRE

When the rain comes out to play

His fiercer friends are on the way

Lightning and thunder….They have something to say

Little human you better pray

They are a package deal

But where there’s three one is always the third wheel

Lightning knows it’s her. There is no other explanation for how lonely she feels

She feels overlooked. And that is motivation to kill

So lightning sets fire to the rain

Just enough to express her pain

Lightning. Lightning lights up the storm

The bolt takes her form

Rain catches on.

Lightning is done. So she leaves

Rain sits in a corner and pours

He can’t help but think

Lightning might be that silver lining they say every cloud has.

She sets fire to rain
